In this course we're going to dive in and explore the technology that makes
modern applications work. Even the best written applications wouldn't run
without hardware, networks and storage systems. Along with those traditional
topics, we will also be looking at how virtualization, containerization and
cloud computing have pushed the envelope on what we can do with traditional
infrastructure. We will cover a lot of topics in this course, and our goal
is to give you as much hands on practice as possible with the content.
Technology powers nearly every aspect of today’s businesses, from an individual employee’s work to operations to goods and services. When properly networked, technology can be optimized to improve communication, create efficiencies and increase productivity.
In this class you will learn the most basic aspect in computer and other devices, like servers. We will take a look how this components use hardware and software to operate.
Although this course is online, students will have access to some last generation devices in the lab allocated in the ADM-Scovill Hall. Moreover, some of the classes during the semester require to visit the lab.
